Why Na Domo Ni Pasifika™ Was Established
Through her professional and community experiences, Matilda recognised gaps in culturally responsive support, advocacy and access to appropriate services, particularly for Fijian people and diverse communities from Fiji.
She established Na Domo Ni Pasifika™ to help address these needs while welcoming Pasifika and wider communities across Aotearoa New Zealand.
Her vision is to create opportunities for people to be heard, respected and supported to recognise their strengths, make informed decisions and build positive, sustainable change.
Guided by the values of Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust, Accountability and Sustainability, Matilda's commitment is reflected in the philosophy:
“Serving with Heart. Speaking with Purpose. Strengthening Communities.”
